How much does it cost to use Shredy?

Shredy is completely free for both buyers and for sellers!


? We believe that snowboarding is awesome and it has the power to transform your life.

We also know that starting out can be… a little daunting because gear and lift passes are not exactly cheap. When you are still learning, you most probably won't really be able to tell the difference between a decent second-hand board and a brand new deck, so spend more on getting out there and less on gear.

Once you get the hang of it and get better, don't settle – sell your beloved stuff and upgrade from local riders or get the latest on offer by your favourite brand from your local core shop. This supports the snowboard industry AND helps new riders get their hands on something they can start with for a little less money.

What types of ads can I post?

Shredy offers four different ad types for your listing. Please bear in mind that it is not possible to switch between different ad types once an ad has been posted.

  1. Sell – you can either show a fixed price or tick a box to indicate that the given price is negotiable
  2. Auction – you can also post your item to be sold on an auction to the highest bidder.
  3. Exchange – not quite happy with your gear? Why not exchange it for something that's just right? Make sure you let everyone know why you want to swap and what you are looking for.
  4. Rent – rent out your gear for a specified amount of time.

How do the auctions work?

To participate in any auction first, you need to register an account. Once you have an account visit any auction and in the sidebar, you will find a bidding box.

Below the bid value box you will see what is the minimum value you must place. Once the auction finishes, the winner will be notified by a confirmation mail.

List of all auctions in which you are or have been participating in is displayed on your profile under Auctions.

How can I contact a seller?

There are two ways to contact a seller.

? If the seller has posted their phone number, you can view it in a box on the side of their profile or on any of their ads. For security purposes, the last few digits of all phone numbers are censored to users who are not registered and logged in.

? If you wish to send a private message to the seller, you need to first create an account. Then, simply navigate to any of their ads and you will find a button for a sending message. A list of your conversations is available on your profile.

How does the review system work?

There are two types of reviews – buyer and seller. The first step is to register in our marketplace. Next, you need to send a message to a seller. Once the seller responds to your message, you will be able to review the seller and vice versa, the seller will also be able to post a review about you.

? When users visit your profile, they will be able to see your overall star rating and a complete list of reviews about you. Aim to achieve a good overall score for better success on our platform.

Please note that once you post a review it can not be changed, however, both the seller and you have the option to respond to submitted reviews.

How to report ads?

If you feel that an ad is breaking the rules, you can report it directly from the ad page by clicking on the Report button. Ads will remain active until an administrator checks them out.
